Matt Frampton is a singing-actor, versatile performer, and voice pedagogue based in New York City. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Matt is currently an Adjunct Instructor of Voice at New York University whilst completing his Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance (Music Theater) with a subspecialisation in Vocal Pedagogy, previously graduating with a Master of Music. He is a producer of Starbound Musical Theatre, a summer intensive for adolescent performers in Australia.

Alfred in Johann Strauss’s Die Fledermaus, music directed by Joshua Rosenblum | April 2025
Matt performed as Alfred in a new adaption of Die Fledermaus for NYU’s mainstage spring season. Set at the turn of the century on New Year’s Eve in New York City, the Strauss’s iconic score features many mistaken identities, hilarious performances and close calls.
Vocal Producer and Creative on Starbound Musical Theatre | January 2025
Featuring 104 young adults from across Victoria, Matt coached and produced this spectacular musical theater showcase. Featuring numbers from The Scarlet Pimpernel, Something Rotten, Spring Awakening and more - this is Matt’s ninth year on the creative team, connecting young people with leaders in the Australian musical theater industry.
