MATT FRAMPTON is a singing-actor, educator, and voice pedagogue with extensive experience spanning musical theatre and contemporary commercial music contexts.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Matt is currently completing his Master of Music in Vocal Performance: Musical Theatre/Vocal Pedagogy at New York University. Performance highlights whilst at NYU include Into the Woods (Narrator/Mysterious Man), Titanic (Charles Clarke), Der Fledermaus (Alfred), Broadway Orchestra Showcases Popular Tunes (Lead Vocalist) and the NYU Pop/Rock Ensemble (Lead Vocalist/Assistant Coach).

In addition to his previous role as Head of Performing Arts at an independent secondary school, Matthew is the vocal producer of Starbound Musical Theatre, a summer intensive program connecting adolescents with professionals in the music theatre industry. In 2020, Matthew received the Australian National Excellence in Teaching Award and the Early Career Teacher’s Award (NEiTA Foundation) for his work in music education during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Matthew is currently an Adjunct Instructor of Voice at New York University. He is a full member of the Victorian Music Teacher’s Association and a registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
